About
Pyo Gallery presents a solo exhibition by Kim Kang-yong, October 2–31, 2026. Long known as the “brick painter” in the context of realism, Kim began with an interest in what is overlooked: the small, ordinary units that make up a city during Korea’s rapid industrialization in the 1970s. The exhibition follows how his gaze moved from the bricks themselves to the gaps, light, shadows and space between them.
